Re: Upper West Side: West 81st.
[She's found a corner of drawn back metal, but it's not enough, and her expression is frustration in the dark. She's two seconds away from doing this her way. Stupid, risky and, usually, successful. She'll just have to make sure to draw firepower away from the hold. She'll get Pepper a weapon.] Can you shoot? [It's a distracted question; she's counting heads outside that entry. Three that she can see. Three? Piece of cake.
She lies to herself often. Why stop now?
Her head turns fastasthat when Pepper let's that sentence trail. He's not....] He destroyed a very big and disgusting man-thing in two seconds. I didn't know anything had the force to turn something with bones into a rag doll in quite that way. [And the words are shaky, even if she manages to imbue them with the same sarcastic edge as everything else.] I was in trouble. It was a good thing. [Exhale.]
Tony probably thinks you're somewhere sensible. But if he doubts it for even a second, he'll come. [She says it firmly, without question. She knows, because she's absolutely certain Tony loves this woman with the redhair. And, frankly, it's just what people like her and Tony do. It's their version of caring. Rushing in and being idiots when they're scared.]
I don't know. It has a certain appeal. Maybe it's nicer in winter?
