Re: Upper West Side: West 81st.
[Selina doesn't like boats. She's only been on one that was over water, that the hotel didn't engineer to make her forget who she was for an evening, and that was with Eddie. The memories stings like salt water. Only the rich have boats in Gotham, and she's always just been pretending at wealth. She gets certain things wrong, words, pronunciations, and she's never been on a boat that wasn't in Gotham harbor and full of desired cargo. She prefers her feet on dry land, and being thrown into the stinking dark a few seconds after Pepper doesn't do anything to change her opinion on sea voyages. The fact that they weren't actually on the water. Incidental.
It takes a second for her to catch her breath, that smash to the head earlier leaving a serious migraine in its wake. But she's goggles down then, slowly, and thankful for Eddie's amazing night vision.
As far as she can tell, she's thirty deep in women and girls. It looks like they only took ones that they considered attractive. Good. Attractive is going to kick their asses in the end if she has anything to do with it.
She spots Pepper, and she crawls over. The men guarding the entrance to the hold barely notice. Crawling woman? Insignificant.
Hah.
She sits beside the redhead, back to something that feels like rotting wood. She reaches back and and shoves at it. It doesn't give. Well, that would have been too easy.]
How does this rank? Good day? Bad day? [Her smile is wry, and there's a grin in the dark. She's scared, but that's hidden beneath the suit and adrenaline. They've got this. Even if Pepper doesn't know it yet.]
