Pepper's scream distracts her. Her mind whirs, and she knows Pepper's being dragged off. She has options. She can get herself away without breaking a sweat. There's a balcony within reach of her whip, and the man she's using as a perch is no threat whatever. But Pepper is being pulled away by thick hands and armed things. There's no comm to call Tony. No one else in sight that she can see.
Decision made, she flips off the man's shoulders and lands, intentionally favoring her right leg and mimicking a sprain. She goes so far as to ow at the bastard, who looks like Christmas just came early - or whatever holiday these things celebrate.
Playing the helpless victim is so not her, but she lets the man toss her over his shoulder, and she doesn't kill him with her claws (even though it would be so easy) as he carries her to that boat, where the trapped women's screams get louder and louder with each footfall.]
