Re: Upper West Side: West 81st.
[The laughter, Pepper recognizes it. She's never heard Selina laugh - she's never heard her much of anything, conversations conducted via journals that provide grateful distance. But it sounds the way she's heard it over JARVIS, that 'new adventure' sort of glee she associates purely and wholly with Tony.
Up isn't even an option for her, and she pulls a face at the notion of getting to know the thing chasing her - and opens her mouth to say something that will be torn into pieces by running. She goes to a fancy gym, the kind with mirrored walls and music. It's not the same, out here, barefoot on the street.
But backup, that backup Selina's so concerned about and Pepper has barely registered through the blind-instinct run - that back-up reaches out and takes. Scream. She's getting good at those.]
