Re: log: evie, graham + babies
It'd been a real long time since Graham had a baby to take care of, and things were coming back to him little by little. Ginger and mint leaves and distilled water, that wasn't something he'd think up on his own; some of his wariness faded just then. She didn't sound crazy, this Evie, didn't look dangerous, and she clearly knew how to take care of her kid. He looked over at the little girl in her pack and play and smiled, expression softening. "Okay. Thanks." It wasn't until just then that he wondered about the father, but he knew better than to ask.
While she talked about soaps and lotions, he grabbed the bottle out of the fridge and went to heat it up. Clem's name made him pause, just briefly, but that was all. "Sure she'll like that," he remarked off-handedly, and he rubbed Joy's back almost absently while he listened. "Don't have to thank us. But anything that puts Shane to sleep I won't say no to." Sometimes he could manage humor.
