Re: Jurassic Park: Gwen & Peter
"Yeah. Weird," he echoed. He knew there were a bunch of different versions of himself, and it stood to reason that there were different versions of home, too, where they were all pulled from. Peter figured if he ever got sent to a world where Uncle Ben was still alive, he wouldn't care much about the differences either. "At least you got to see some version of him." He was a little surprised when she shook her head, but he got what she was saying about it not being home. "I wasn't there? No wonder you didn't want to stay." He was teasing, knowing full well he wasn't the deciding factor in wanting to stay or go.
He stuck out his tongue when she said he couldn't brag about his marginally improved attendance. "Uh, excuse me, I can brag about whatever I want to. And going from worse to bad is progress." Emphasis on the progress, and he expected her to just hand the camera over. When she didn't, when she feigned and tugged it back, he gave her a look before laughing when she finally relented and gave it up. "Thanks." And then he was too focused on trying to get a decent shot without moving too much, because on some level--okay, every level--he didn't want her to move, which meant that he didn't notice the darkening sky either. That smile when she said Flash was back, click, captured forever, and maybe he took more than one picture. Maybe.
His own phone was in his backpack, and he tugged it out to say hey to Flash before sliding it back in. "About time he showed up again," he grinned, but his smile faded when she sat up and shoved her phone away. He rolled over onto his back, because it was easier to look at her that way, and sat up. Her concerns made him listen, brow furrowed, and he fiddled absently with the camera in his hands.
"How much do you think is the serum, and how much do you think is him?" Peter was trying to make that distinction himself. "Because I think-- I think his dad messed him up, Gwen." He sighed. "What's he saying that scares you?"
