Re: Jurassic Park: Gwen & Peter
"Oh, yeah. This? Is way better than snow. Brrrrr." He was used to webslinging around in the cold, but the storm was something new. Peter thought it might be somebody whose abilities went haywire, but he had no idea who. Tracking down the culprit kind of took a backseat to helping people not get buried in piles of white stuff. And, okay, the occasional snowball fight with kids too cute to say no to. "I can definitely work with nice weather." He was glad that, at the very least, Gwen seemed genuinely excited about the dinosaurs, and he took the proffered earbud to listen in. It made him smile, and he stretched out one leg while he waited for her to say something. The opening was there. He figured she'd take it or leave it.
Okay but upset seemed par for the course. "You have every right to be upset," he said, which she did. He just got why MJ was upset, too, which made it all complicated. But he just listened as she talked about how things had been before, and then how they'd changed, and he really wished he knew how to fix it. "Friendship without trust isn't much of a friendship." Peter shrugged. "I mean, trust is a pretty big thing. It takes time to build. So maybe... you don't have to be friends. Just take it slow." Her assertion that she was causing all this by being alive, though, that he couldn't agree with. "Come on, Gwen. You're not responsible for what other people do. You're not causing anything."
