Re: Jurassic Park: Gwen & Peter
He figured she'd had time to take off if she wanted to. She could also ignore him. There were ways to state a message, loud and clear, and while Peter wasn't going to push the unspoken issue of MJ and Jason if she didn't want to talk, he got that she might need space. Sometimes people just needed to be alone. And this was a good place to think, all wide open space and quiet-- as long as no carnivores showed up to disturb the peace.
But she didn't ignore him, even though he could tell her smile was fake. She didn't need to be crying to be upset. Peter returned her smile, a small, careful thing, and slid out of the parked vehicle. "Yeah, seems like," he agreed, hopping up into the hood next to her. "I can't believe we're actually going to see some dinosaurs." Because everything else aside, it was pretty cool. He was quiet for a few seconds, leaning against his backpack and looking off into the distance. He didn't want to bring it up, but they couldn't not talk about it. Maybe if he started slow. "I know this is kind of a stupid question, but humor me." He glanced over. "Are you okay?"
