Jurassic Park: Gwen & Peter
Peter didn't know where the dinosaur door was, thank you very much, and finding it took time. Not a lot-- fifteen minutes, give or take. He wasn't 100% sure the whole Jurassic Park adventure was still on considering the disaster on the journals, but he figured if Gwen wasn't there, well, he'd just pop right back out of dino land. Hopefully it wasn't the kind of place with disappearing doors and a desire to keep people stuck. It just sucked, because he'd been looking forward to this and now Gwen was upset, MJ was upset, Jason was a jerk, and he felt torn between two of his best friends.
It had not been like this at home. Even before Gwen died, he couldn't remember things getting this bad. MJ said he liked Gwen better, Gwen was freaked that he'd ditch her for MJ-- seriously, what? Why couldn't everyone just get along? Times like these made him wish Flash was around. Harry was locked up in a box, and hahaha, he wasn't talking to Jason the vigilante.
Was he into Gwen? Yes. Did he care about MJ? Also yes. Pete didn't want to choose. He couldn't choose. But it felt like that wasn't what either of them wanted to hear, and he had no idea what to do. So, dinosaurs. It could be a total disaster or it could be a nice distraction. At this point he couldn't call which one it would be.
Whatever. He went into the door with a backpack slung over his shoulder, jeans and sneakers (in case he had to run) and a red sweater. Of course, if it got too warm, he had a t-shirt underneath. That was called being prepared. There was no sign of Gwen in the visitor center, and he wondered if she was even here. He'd end up looking pretty stupid if she wasn't. But hey, he was here, he was in Jurassic Park, and that was kind of cool. Pete had seen the movie just about a thousand times (the original was always better than the sequels) and he half expected the theme song to come blaring over the loudspeakers. Logic dictated that he check out a map, and he figured, if he was Gwen, he'd start with the closest non-man eating dinosaurs and go from there.
He thought about walking, but then he thought that if Gwen wasn't around he'd have to walk back, and if some rampaging dino showed up driving was a lot faster than being on foot. Especially since his abilities were zapped here too. So Pete found some keys, he found a vehicle with gas, and off he went. Humming the Jurassic Park theme song under his breath? Maybe.
It was, like, super scenic out here, and the yellow was easy to spot. It did occur to him that she might not be happy to see him, but whatever. Full speed ahead now. He pulled up beside her vehicle and parked, engine quieting. "Hey."
