Re: Capturing Louis: Neil & Lou & Sam
[The whole purpose of coming was to coax Louis somewhere else, somewhere safe, so he could get help. Leaving him behind while he took Sam elsewhere would, therefore, accomplish nothing. Neil needed his brother to come with him, first and foremost. He began to protest but Sam beat him to it, and he watched her with concern as she rambled, unsteady on her feet and shaky hands; maybe involving her had been a bad idea. He looked between the two, and he caught the look she gave him, a silent plea for help as she tugged on Louis.]
You should come-- [But that was as far as he got, because as he stood there Louis... did something, he didn't understand what, one moment Sam was upright and awake and the next she was dead weight, swept up into Louis' arms. Neil stared. He'd-- he'd touched her, he'd make her fall asleep, but that didn't make sense. How could it make sense? He kept on staring, shock and and growing worry, as his brother held Sam out like an offering; it took a couple of seconds for his meaning to be clear. Wordlessly, he shifted Sam into his arms from Louis and looked down at her. Yes, asleep. She was still breathing, but she was sleeping, and somehow Louis was responsible.
What the hell.
Louis didn't even seem the least bit concerned.] Yeah. My door is safe. You're coming with us. We'll all go to my door. [He looked down at Sam again. Should he ask what had happened? Would he even get an answer? Looking back up, Neil wasn't sure. He was also no longer sure that a normal doctor could help.] Let's go. [He'd have to tell Cris. Someone would need to get his daughter. But right now, he needed to get Louis somewhere secure. Then he could ask questions.]
