Have you tried prayer? Meditation, if church is not for you. Clearing your mind can give you new perspectives. If you're worried about slipping into past behaviors, it is important to distract yourself, to stay busy with better things. Do you have any friends that you could call for company? These urges to resort to destructive or poor habits, it will pass. It will seem difficult at first, but I promise it gets easier. Think of it in terms of minutes. Don't worry about tomorrow or the next day, worry about what you are doing right now, right here.
