Re: This is why Clem employs a chauffeur: Clem & Evie
It felt like a trick question, Evie didn't want to call anyone. Or want Clementine to call anyone either. She didn't mind so much being homeless right then, it meant Clementine - if she were like everyone else in the world - would forget right about her after she'd walked by. She looked at her pretty boots for a long moment, she remembered having pretty boots.
She shook her head. "No one," she said after a minute.
She chuckled about other homeless journal folks. The line of names going through her mind, Max, Jack, Luke, Shane, Wren, names of people who she should say thank you to. People who needed to know she was okay. People who could look after her baby, and her dog, while she decided to just keep being homeless until the world made sense again.
She didn't feel anything but tired. Defeated, sure. But tired. She just wanted to rest and as far as she was concerned, against the wall was as good a place as any. "I don't know anyone, I'm not anyone. I'm okay. Thank you for your help." She said with a firm nod.
