Re: Hallway: Hels & Gwen
[She smiled at the comment about the get out of jail free card.] You'll totally have to fight Jason for that. He claimed it last week. [Not that she thought Jason would actually physically harm Harry in any permanent way, or she wouldn't be smiling. But she knew Jason was protective, and she was beginning to chalk that up as a general personality trait exhibited by Gotham people. She thought it was a pretty okay one.]
I've done all my due diligence. These six labs were secret. Off all public books and grids, save the one that I hacked into after a month working on it from within the Oscorp mainframe. [She had a good feeling that this was it, but it wasn't very reassuring to sit and wait while 'the guys' handled mattered. Gwen just wasn't about sitting around and letting testosterone handle situations. Peter would've messed up a bunch of times without her, and she wasn't ever going to be the woman that sat by and smiled while people she cared about risked themselves. It didn't mean she was particularly heroic, because she would rather the people she cared about not risk themselves in the first place. Law enforcement was something Gwen believed in without limit; they were trained and paid to take care of people. It was their job.
But none of that seemed so important right now. She leaned more against Helena's side, comfortable, and she slouched a little as she watched the wall. It was nice, after countless hospital visits and so much stress, to just be there with a friend, and she tipped her head a little to look at the dark-haired girl in the dark-haired clothes.] Don't let me fall into the pizza if I doze off.
