Re: Hallway: Hels & Gwen
They're good as a back up plan. If something goes wrong and you need to leave in a sudden, need to be someone else somewhere else. [If she was somehow stuck like Helena had been in a place where shouldn't use her own name without drawing an immense amount of attention to herself - yeah. Not that she would wish Gwen into a type of situation like that, but shit happened. And she was a fan of having a way out.]
A safety net. Less about buying alcohol and getting into clubs, more - precautionary than misuse. [She folded up her slice and took another bite, swallowing hard after she'd chewed.]
It was less of a fight and more me yelling at him. [A little shrug of her shoulders.] He made everyone else but Damian a priority when Damian came back and it - hurt him. It hurt Damian, a lot. And he and I react the same way, where when someone's hurting us, we lash out in anger. He was picking a lot of fights with everyone and it - it reminded me of before, when I wanted to hurt myself. I didn't think he felt like that, but I could see it building up like it had with me and something bad was going to happen. So when I was in London with Dami, I called Bruce. We talked for a while. And I know he was tired but he needed to do something before - before anything bad happened. He said he'd wait a couple days and try again with Damian, but then we left and Damian went back to Gotham - [Another shrug of her shoulders.] Took up the cowl and died. Again. [A slow blink as the pizza fell from her fingers and into the box.] I used my last chance to reach my baby brother on telling him where he could go so Dick or Bruce or whoever could find him and bring him home. Dick couldn't bring him home.
