Re: Hallway: Hels & Gwen
My dad would've killed me if he thought I was going to get a full set of papers of any kind. [She'd never considered changing her identity, and she'd never worried about purchasing alcohol or getting into establishments she shouldn't get into. Even now, when her life was less than ideal, she didn't think about those things. She didn't think about it in a judgmental way; it just made her think of her dad.
She mixed her food with a twirl of the chopsticks, and the statement was one that was fond. Her dad had been gone long enough that the memory of him, while bittersweet, was a good one. She didn't want to forget him, and thinking about him kept him alive in a way that was completely emotional and devoid of any scientific merit. But the human brain was still highly misunderstood, and she figured maybe there was some science behind it all at the end of the day. She smiled.] But I guess breaking a few rules wouldn't hurt.
[She looked over, chopsticks halfway to her mouth, when Helena admitted to fighting with her dad.] You tell me about your fight, and I'll tell you about Harry. A fight for a fight seems like an equitable trade.
