Re: Quicklog, DC: Clem M/Shane A
[Clem knew the man was a damn fool. Him and Graham both, and you'd think they'd never spent time with a woman in their whole damn lives. She knew it wasn't true, but they acted like it some, and maybe that was just decades of being on their own, learning all kinds of bad habits. It explained all the plain, and she liked when explanations tied up pretty. Didn't matter like it had once, though, and it sure as heck didn't matter then. As for fighting or hunting down, she didn't need any of that. She needed adoration, and that was a real different thing altogether, and she still had a notion that Shane wouldn't mind adoring Graham his own way neither. Graham, him she wasn't so sure about; man was clueless as rocks.
She smiled pretty and sweet when his expression turned all irritated, and she did like making this man cross. That wasn't a thing new, but it had bothered her once, the fact that he was always real tired with her. Now, she thought it was entertaining; she might not think Shane Alexander loved her any, but she knew he cared enough in his way. Made it easy to overlook just how damn unpleasant he could be sometimes.
She watched him take that drag, her grey-blue eyes watching like there was something real tasty waiting at the end of that smoke, and she laughed when he blew in her face.] That all you got? [She wrested the smoke from between his fingers and she dumped it back in the tumbler.] You come on. [Hands on the hem of his shirt, and she pulled some. Invitation, but not really offering to help him shuck the thing. He could do that his ownself.
And they didn't get past kissing some before Jake was due, but it made her feel nice some, like maybe her worth to these folks wasn't just in some baby gone to another door.]
