That Solas didn't burst with irritation was a small miracle. He'd suffered the fumblings of humans with his culture enough for one lifetime. He didn't need to hear of a child from another world who claimed more knowledge about the elves than an elf himself. Not that the elves of his own world were any better. He soothed himself with that reminder.
With a carefully composed, neutral expression, his ears relaxed to hide his annoyance with the whole of the human race, he studied Dylan's face. Human emotions were difficult to read. Their ears didn't move as they spoke. He imagined a human talking to another whose eyebrows never moved would have a similar frustration. "Is there a reason you wear an elf on your shirt? Is he a hero of folklore?" he asked, choosing to believe the many tiny hands comment was a joke and not meant to be taken literally.
