[Masks. Steve didn't like masks. He didn't like what they stood for, he didn't like what they did. But he knew they were practical.—That said, he was relieved when he could see Stark's face. Something about the ghosts of the facility, about not finding the one he'd been chasing, had him knotted up, and seeing someone familiar was grounding.
The relief was gone quick enough. Stark's assertion had Steve coming closer to him, cutting off the line of the other man's sight. Leather jacket, boots, he wasn't dressed like Captain America. But Stark was Iron Man. Steve just hoped he was less robot beneath all that metal than he looked.
