Louis claiming he was fine was complete bullshit, but Neil couldn't deny that back through the door he looked less like a living corpse and more like himself. More human. And so, with a look that clearly indicated they weren't through talking about this, he went right back out into the hotel. He figured Cris would have it handled, and he hoped, hoped, that he'd see Micah on the ground or in cuffs or something once he came out.
No such luck. He saw Cris disappear into a door, saw a stark absence of Sam, and-- there. On the landing. The man who had to be Micah; and it didn't take long to piece together what must have happened. Anger rising in his throat, bile on his tongue, Neil fixed the man with a glare that would've struck him dead right then and there if only looks could kill.
"You son of a bitch." Fuck the rules. This was a no man's land, wasn't it? Neil moved towards his target, reaching into his jacket for his gun.
