Re: quicklog: micah & elena & npcs
Do something good for himself? Micah saw the others that nodded their heads in agreement, in some sort of promise to her that they'd do just that, but he didn't join them. Something nice for himself seemed to be at odds with everything else going on in their lives. He didn't deserve something nice for himself. Not yet. Not now.
He hung back as the meeting came to an end, people rising from their seats, leaving to wherever it was their lives picked up from after this meeting. He didn't like the looks he got, though, the attention his cane inevitably drew when he got to his feet. It just made people ask questions, or look at him with pity, and that was the last thing that he wanted right then. Questions or pity. He had no room in his life for either of those just then. But of course, she watched him. She paid attention to him, and there was no easy way to escape that.
Finally, he was on his feet, leaning heavily on the cane, knuckles white with the grip he kept upon it. "I'm new to the area," Micah said after a moment, shuffling towards where she stood, no hint of a smile upon his lips. "Just thought I'd drop in. Saw the flyers when I was doing some errands earlier." Errands. that was an apt word for stalking someone, wasn't it?
