She thought it was like drowning. You slid under water and you tried to find the things you knew were down there but without your eyes open? You were pretty much groping around for anything. She laid the fork down on the side of her plate, elbow on the chrome and her chin in her hand and the sharp blue eyes clouded with thought.
"I don't think so?" She hadn't asked, not Selina and not Eddie, who would know. "But some people knew a me. I'm not that me. Selina, I knew her where I'm from but we're not from the same place." She shrugged, sharp shoulders under thick jacket, and the movement was muffled by layers of clothing. "It's hard for it not to scramble people."
