Re: Quicklog, Gotham: Babs G/Jim G
[Jim was a private man. He had big ideas and bigger ideals, but a big smile? That wasn't him. Private meant he was hard to get to know, but this whole thing had sort of put that—and everything else—on its head. Now he lived with a woman he didn't know, who knew him, and though he wasn't an awkward man, the complete eradication of boundaries previously taken as given was hard to... adapt to in a few days' time. So, no, while he hadn't made any further headway into Barbara's liquor, his mind was still reeling from the changes, on such a large scale, that, honestly, if it were his liquor cabinet, it'd be almost empty by now.
Into the kitchen with the bags, Jim followed the woman, and hefted the things onto the island to help unpack and put away.] I've been better, [he joked dryly. He nodded toward her.] How are you? [From what he understood, the baby was due any day now.]
