Re: quicklog: gwen & goblin boy
[The hiss was memories, and gravity played tricks on her. She could almost feel the ground slipping out from under her. She paled, wan, and that was before he kept talking. Bootfalls, loud and hard, and there was something in his voice that said run. None of the misunderstood boy she'd been in love with since high school, and all those memories shattered with every heavy footstep of green and black.

[Shutting up might be good, but she was done. Years of being afraid of his reactions, and years afraid of losing him, and she was done. She stormed past him, fear of green and black gone for a minute, and she didn't even care about sedating him and helping, not anymore.
She was done being Harry Osborn's doormat, and she didn't even raise to the bait when he mentioned Mary Jane.]
I have no idea who killed your dad, but I know he was doing monstrous, terrible things to people. Hurting them, and torturing them. That's what you should care about. You should care about finding a way to make all the bad things he did right.
I loved you. It was never enough for you, but I did.
[She waved at him with her hand, tears in her eyes that she defiantly refused to shed.] Oh, I won't be back in this house ever again. [And neither would Emily, and that felt like the biggest blessing ever right then.
She yanked open the door, and she stepped outside.]
