Re: Manor: Bruce & Selina
"I wonder why." He vocalized what she was clearly thinking, why Alfred's attitude had changed so suddenly. Well, that Alfred's. In his world, in his youth, Bruce hadn't had very many friends, much less almost-teenage girls staying over for extended periods of time. "You're right, he probably does," he agreed. Eddie was resourceful that way, there was no doubt about that, and he decided it was something he could ask him about later.
He still wasn't entirely sure what had occurred while he was Ra's prisoner, not aside from what he'd been told. He did know that Helena had argued with near everyone, save for Damian, but he'd never had the opportunity to ask her about it. Bruce regretted that now. "She's angry," he said, for lack of anything better to say. "I'm not entirely sure why. She was angry at me for a long time, too. I think... it goes back months, at least." He lifted one shoulder in a sort of shrug, the rustle of fabric on sheets and another sleepy sound from the puppy. He still didn't think it was right, that Helena's possible presence (because she might not come at all) would keep Selina from being somewhere she wanted to be, but he didn't want to argue. "Alright."
It puzzled him, admittedly, Iris worried her so much. "No, you can't. And you shouldn't." He decided to let it be when she kissed his jaw, but then she added that remark about Iris moving in, and he couldn't help but laugh. "She's not going to move in, Selina," he told her. Even when Iris had needed a place to stay, he hadn't invited her to the Manor.
