Re: Manor: Bruce & Selina
Somewhere in the back of his mind, Bruce knew this might not last. He could go home again, or she could return to her Gotham, or it quite simply might not work out. Banner was (as far as he knew) still part of her life. She could meet someone else. So many things could go wrong, and in this place so many things did go wrong more often than not. But just for now, he didn't want to dwell; he focused on the sound of her chuckle instead. "Is he?" This new Gordon was different, very different, considering he'd known a twelve year old Bruce Wayne where he came from, but he seemed likable enough so far. "I'll have to get him to share sometime."
He sighed when she said Helena's name, an explanation in itself. "I don't know if she'll be there," he admitted. "I haven't... spoken to her yet." And there was guilt, there, guilt in the lack of communication, but he was afraid that she would blame him for Damian's death. "I want you there, but... I don't want to force you to come." Something occurred to him then, and he wasn't sure if he should bring it up, but if he didn't Bruce thought she might think he was trying to hide it from her. He wasn't.
"Iris wants to come to the memorial. She knew Damian too." He tipped his chin down. "Would that bother you?"
