Re: Manor: Bruce & Selina
She moved forward once he looked at her. No point in hiding between trees now, was there? Slow steps and the grass was already crunching beneath her feet. She looked at his socks, and she tried to figure out just how soaked they were, and her mossy gaze slid to his bare arms. But it was impossible to tell how cold he was. He was too good at hiding his physical reaction to nearly everything, which meant no shuddering, no shivering. He would need to be turning blue for her to understand if he was dangerously cold. She might not have the slightest idea what to say that wouldn't be an echo of previously made mistakes, but she knew that.
He crouched, and she stopped a few feet away from him and the dog. Enough space that the puppy wouldn't be distracted by her presence, but close enough that she wouldn't need to raise her voice.
"I have no idea," she said of the gender, lingering annoyance for the little creature in her voice. "I didn't ask." Not about the name, either. She sighed, and she took another step forward. "You mentioned a dog. When you were in Italy, and I thought-" She shrugged, a barely-there lift of her shoulders.
