Re: log: dylan & max (daniel & lin too)
[Max knew McKendrick wouldn't actually fear her gun arm. She wasn't sure if that was reassuring or not, but she knew he understood the language of the threat, too, even if there was no real fear of follow-through. In short, she wouldn't shoot him. But she would shoot the wall, get the nurses running, and make sure Daniel didn't escape. Success either way, and she was glad she didn't have to put a hole in the wall, even if she ended up sympathy-cringing when the towel rack was involved in the altercation.
She left the bag of supplies where it was, figuring Lin might find something inside useful, and she tucked the Ruger back into her jeans.] Not my boyfriend, and he's a rescuer. [She said of McKendrick, fond, despite all this shit. She wasn't going to get into explaining baggage.] Sorry, kid.
[She didn't bother looking at Daniel; she had a feeling he'd vent his spleen on her if she did, and she wasn't in the mood.] We'll go get an apartment settled. I'll leave the keys and address at the nursing station. [Jerky nod, and she turned for the door.
Outside, she caught up with McKendrick, and she stepped close enough to his side to let him know she wasn't actually pissed off about anything. He might be, but his anger didn't worry her.] Let's go find an apartment and a bar, in that order. [And she pushed open the door to the outside world and left the hospital behind.]
