Re: [Hotel; Finnick]
With how quiet the hallways seemed in comparison to the life that thrived beyond the door, Finnick could have sworn that he was alone, utterly so. He heard the approach before the voice sounded, his own senses on high alert, something that had started with his first time in the arena and had never completely come back down to the pre-game levels. The lights above flickered, casting shadows that danced here and there, distorting the senses and making the hallway something a little less ordinary than it was initially.
"Hey," he responded in kind, his voice lightly accented but giving no real indication of where he was from. "I was wondering if anyone else was here." He cracked a smile, his nature easy-going on first contact, and in a handful of swift, long steps, he approached, hand extended in greeting, his eyes warm and friendly. "Finnick. Congratulations on being the first I've encountered here." He wasn't sure if that was something that really deserved congratulations, but the conversation led that way, warm and congenial.
