But with elections, we try to even the playing field. We don't succeed as well as we should, but there's an attempt to equalize campaign spending, resources used, and even influence. There are courts created that do nothing but monitor campaign spending and influence. Voting practices are carefully scrutinized, and the entire goal is to ensure some kind of equality. You don't think a persuasive ability that voters are unable to resist is an unfair advantage?
I'm not saying there's an easy answer, because there isn't. Not allowing citizens with mutations to run for elected office is no better than unfair use of mutation advantages. I don't actually know that there is an answer that both sides would consider fair. But it is an advantage.
