Re: Outside Gotham; Selina and "Em"
[The question made her laugh and shake her head.] That one exactly? No. But one like it? I could probably manage that. [As for their drinking plans, she gave an easy shrug, one shoulder hitching up toward her ear.] Things happen. It's not like you stood me up or anything. [Her smile widened for just a moment before it dimmed into its usual soft upturn at the corners of her lips. It was less of a true smile and more of a hint that maybe she knew more about what was going on than any "normal" person might.] We can always find another time. Once things calm down again. [It wasn't quite a promise that things would calm down, and there was no time estimate given as to when they might be able to reschedule.
She had to smile at Selina's easy dismissal of the game. No, it wasn't stimulating, but that didn't mean that Death wanted to pull her away, if Selina had wanted to stay. But the woman didn't look particularly worried by her early exit, so Death didn't push the matter.
She did look over at the door at Selina's meaningful nod, and her resulting eyeroll and headshake expressed every bit of annoyance she could muster at the situation. Even though that smile still clung to her lips. She slipped off the edge of the bed and crossed the room to perch on the windowsill next to Selina. There wasn't nearly enough room for her to balance there comfortably, but it didn't look to bother her at all.] He's no one you should worry about. [Her voice was soft, close, and there was a soft rustle of feathers near the door that swallowed any sound that reached that far.]
