Morality is subjective (and no one will convince me otherwise) - so while Eddie the ex-super villain - might draw the line at lip locking shenanigans while carrying a torch for someone else. Steve Rogers may draw that morality line at trying to kill Batman.
But the fact is that Eddie wasn't in your shoes. Technically I'm not even sure you were in your shoes. But regardless of that - Eddie can't make a judgment call on what you did. He can share with you that he finds it morally repugnant all he wants. But he wasn't there. He wasn't in that moment. He didn't know how you were feeling. He didn't understand what was going on with you and Peggy. He can't make that call for you, Steve.
You aren't required to add to your already bad feelings because someone can't think of anything worse to do. Because I sure as hell can.
