Re: Skype: Selina/Robert
He doesn't talk to anyone the same way. Ask other people. [He took a deep breath and let it out.] I don't think it's about the mall, I think it's being weak and sick. Remember when you told me to go check on him because you were worried he was panicking? When I got there, he was in the midst of a full out panic attack. He looked .... [He shook his head, even if she couldn't see it, running hands through his hair.] I shouldn't be telling you. You can't tell anyone else, Selina, this is important. But he believed he was going to die, the fear on his face, I was afraid he could go into cardiac arrest. Most people wouldn't from a panic attack, but with his heart? Who knows. I calmed him down, but he tried to drink out of a broken shard of glass, that's how bad he was. He looks like a skeleton. He forgets what day it is. He kept talking about how we needed to prepare for Loki and make weapons to fight Loki. That's what he's been doing, making weapons I guess, or working until he passes out. Tony's really, really messed up right now, and I think he doesn't know how to pretend anymore. And you went through the same thing, so now neither of you know how to pretend, and that was what you used to do together.
[He chuckles darkly.] Of course he can kill him. Steve's superhuman, but he's not immortal. The Hulk could rip his body apart if he got his hands on him. You saw how he treated the aliens like rag dolls, he does that with humans too, when they get in his way. There was a super soldier, not quite as good as Steve, Ross made him. He thought he was taking the Hulk on, and the big guy just kicked him once. Broke every bone in his body, severed his spine, it was nothing to him. Tanks, missiles, you just ... don't know. [Every word of it was true, and there was more, so much more.] Of course I'd do anything for him, except for the things he's asking for.
[The laugh this time is more real.] I'm sorry I was difficult after everything. I've never had a break up before. They're awful.
