Re: twd: spidey crew
[Peter was glad MJ was safe and alive, and even though she'd just blown a man's head off he didn't think she was a monster. It was just a lot to wrap his head around all at once, and besides, Flash and Harry were closer to her. He was just the new guy. So he'd probably have hung back anyway, since he didn't feel like he had much right to interrupt their reunion. Besides, he couldn't just leave Gwen on the porch. Okay, so he didn't want anything to eat her while his back was turned, but it wasn't just that. She was upset. He was physically incapable of not trying to do something.
He glanced over at her when she asked if they could go, but he didn't say anything. It wasn't his decision to make, first off, and secondly, as much as he just wanted to go home, they all needed rest. And splitting up was definitely not a good idea.
So, admittedly, he was relieved when Flash spoke up. He was right, and he hoped Gwen would see that. Peter blinked when the other guy looked at him for back up, but right, yeah, he could do that.] I want to go home too, Gwen. I get it. [His voice was low, earnest, and he just hoped she'd believe him.] But Flash is right. We're all exhausted. Like he said, we'll go upstairs, get some rest, and leave after. Okay? Can you hang on just a little longer?
