Re: twd: spidey crew
[The door was left slightly ajar, and if that wasn't a sign that something was off, then the shouts echoing from beyond were. Snippets of But it's Joey! and We can fix him! sounded through candle-lit hall. A familiar voice shouted above the din:] HE'S BITTEN, WE HAVE TO! [A sob rang through, and suddenly the scene burst into the hallway ahead of the others. A man stumbled to the middle, and even with the dimly lit surroundings, the missing chunk of flesh from the man's forearm was visible. Blood stained his clothes and gushed forth from the wound.
Mary Jane Watson appeared almost immediately after him and was wielding a shotgun that should have looked cumbersome for a girl her size but somehow fit in her arms perfectly. Her normally vibrant hair somehow looked almost brown, and it was pulled back from her face. Her clothes -- white shirt, leather jacket and high leather boots over jeans -- were dirty, blood-splattered and dirt stained. There was a confidence about her that was absent back home, and it was clear that MJ was a different girl for the apocalypse. A phoenix reborn amongst the undead. Weeks and weeks in a hellhole could do that to even the most adamant city girls.
A small group followed behind her just as she leveled the shotgun to the man's head.] Sorry about this, Joey, but you know the rules. [BANG! The sound reverberated through hallway as everything else turned dead-quiet aside from the undead still moaning as they were tangled in the barbwire outside. Joey's body (practically missing its head) slid to the floor, leaving a bloody trail against the wall in its wake. A woman behind her began to sob and ran towards the body to cradle it. MJ wiped the blood from her face, and looked exhausted as she turned to the open doorway.] Oh fuck.
