It might have been a dream, something unreal and fleeting, but even here, Jonathan could tell that something was off. He couldn't put his finger on it, not yet, but her words held something more. But for now, he went with it, the words, the lies, because that was easier than trying to make sense of it here, when things felt so shifty.
"No. You didn't interrupt a thing. I was simply... passing time, I suppose." Because the room was familiar, yet not, and so vastly different from what he could remember, but even that was difficult to put his finger on. "You seem familiar."
