Re: Lab: Gwen/Bruce
[Gwen had looked over the data about Doctor Banner's mutation at length with the version of the man that had been here before. She'd been curious to understand how it worked, and while she comprehended it at the cellular level, the manifestation was outside of her area of expertise. She was accustomed to lizards and spiders and mutations caused by electric eels. Metabolic changes, and she didn't have any personal lab experience with radiation. However, she did understand that it wasn't an entire takeover of the organism, and that made it something science would just love to understand. She was a scientist through and through, which meant she had to force herself not to go down that road.]
It was love at first sight? [It sounded like love at first sight, and she was still young enough to believe in the possibility of some chemical process that made that kind of thing possible.] Live every day like it's your last, sir. Life is precious because it ends. I don't believe in putting things off. [Unless she was intentionally trying to avoid them; that was a different matter altogether.]
I think Jason said his dad actually found the door out. I'm going to ask him. [She still thought that would be a good way to distract Jason from coming after her. She was sure she could manage that situation, if she just handled it right.
She nodded at his assurances about Emily and, on her feet now, she gave him a hug and a kiss to the cheek.] I'll check-in.
