Re: Marvel Diner: Erik L/Peter M
[Erik experienced Peter's particular gifts first hand. They were truly impressive. He was looking at it in a slightly different way now, with the possibility of their personal ties in mind. He wondered why it mattered, if it mattered. He had planned to ask Charles' opinion on it, but they fought instead, because that's all they were capable of doing now. Raven was the only person who seemed to understand. They were of a like mind in may ways.
He pretended to not be surprised by Peter's arrival, and merely folded the newspaper and set it to the side.] No, not long. [Erik did need help. He could make it on his own, he was capable of it, but after working with a team he knew the merits in collaboration. If he had personal reasons for it, they were his own. He studied Peter for a moment before smiling. It was faint but genuine.]
I never get tired of meeting more of our kind. [He was surprisingly soft spoken when in a one-on-one conversation.] I thought I was the only one, or one of very few, for a long time. An aberration. [And one that was no use to stop the things he wished he could.] I suspect you felt the same way.
