Re: Selina K/Steve R
I realized it's harder to stand my ground and be disliked, than it was to change in order to be liked.
[...] I know you're from different times and different places. And last year? Three quarters of you weren't even here. Trust takes time, and building a team takes time. It's not fair to anyone to expect people to work like that. Some of you don't even know each other, and others of you know different versions. It's going to take time, and it's going to take a willingness to get to know each other how you are here.
For us? Bruce had the same problem. He doesn't have a family where he comes from. Everyone showed up here, and they expected him to lead the way they'd been led. It didn't work. It was hell for him, and he could never meet their expectations, because he wasn't that man. And it wasn't until recently that they realized that, and that they decided to give him a chance. You have that on a much, much larger scale.
Basically? Tell them to shut the fuck up. Stop complaining, and learn to work together as you are now, and not as you were in all these alternate worlds. And, not that my two cents counts for much, but when things get bad? You guys get it done. And that's impressive. We don't even manage that yet, not without a lot of squabbling.
