Re: In Person: Steve/Sharon/Gwen/Jason
[Gwen considered how to answer the question about Harry. In the end, she sighed, and she gave up on the attempt at potentially sugarcoating.] He's moody, aggressive. It's not always, just sometimes, and he's not sleeping. His eyes are red, and he looks exhausted. But Peter's going to talk to him. If anyone can get through to Harry, it's Peter. [She hesitated, but her spine was straight, and her voice didn't shake as she made a comment that she knew no one in the room was going to like.] I'm going to do my lab internship at Oscorp. Harry agreed, and it's smarter for us to have someone inside the building. It's safe, since I'll be in the general lab. Harry isn't going to let me get near anything confidential right now.
[She wasn't expecting them to agree about Carnage, but she wasn't pleased about it.] I know you're making the Carnage rejection out of concern. But the suit is my design, and we want to augment Flash's to use the new security protocols. I didn't misuse Carnage, and neither did Flash. Jason did, and we shouldn't be held responsible for what he did. But I won't push. I can work on the modifications from scratch in the lab, and Flash and I have lived with the Venom symbiote since we were kids. The original suit was created when SHIELD wanted to blast Flash out of the sky. I'm proud of it. I'm not proud that I entrusted Carnage to Jason, but the suit isn't the problem, and the containment unit the symbiote was in never failed. When Doc Ock stole the symbiote, I stole it back; I know how to handle it. Jason made a choice, and it was a bad one. [Which maybe wasn't be best lead-in for casseroles.]
