[Bruce studied her, deciding how much to push at this juncture, and then decided to go on.] It's not your fault you didn't figure it out on your own either. It might feel that way, considering your training, but we all have blind spots. Let's not forget that Loki is very deceptive and powerful too. He's not someone anyone was trained for.
[His smile was self-deprecating.] I'm not good at orders, except when it comes to emergencies. [Bruce followed the ones he got before without argument, so there was that. But it didn't com easily to him. He had bad experiences with men who gave orders, especially army men.] I think focusing on all these details doesn't help the real problem. Clint went through a traumatic situation. I don't think he should have left, but at the same time, yelling at him about it isn't going to help team building. Or trust. Or make him feel any better about the ugly situation he was in.
[He drank his tea and shrugged.] There's a lack of empathy that concerns me sometimes.
