[Preston's emotions were hard to ignore because they were stronger than anything else. His emotions came through, but his coherent thoughts didn't. No voices, no pictures, and even most of his sensory memories were not quite so readily available as emotions. It was like being directly in front of a football stadium spotlight.]
It improved some. During the toxin, everyone was so... so many people died. Everyone was grieving. Everyone. And they were me... and I couldn't stop them. It's a little better in the Tower.
