[Steph quirked an eyebrow, sipping her drink casually when Dinah posed her question, considering the woman for a moment. While she didn't really relish in people doubting her husband, it amused the hell out of her when people were confused that the Riddler and Spoiler wound up hitched.]
We fell in love. [Said simply, as if it was a simple thing. It wasn't of course. She drank more tequila, shiver against the strong liquor, before smiling at Dinah. Okay, the full answer.] You know how things are different in this door? Yeah, they've been pretty different since the get-go. [She rubbed her eye.] So, the brain thing. We had to share time with other people on the other side of this hotel. It used to connect to Las Vegas, and those were the people we shared time with. So, despite the fact that he beat the shit out of me a few months beforehand, he asked for my help. And I couldn't deny him it. Sadie didn't deserve to get killed because the Joker thought it'd be funny to take over his guy on Vegas side. [Swirling the condensation on the wood of the bar.] There was a Halloween party. I don't even want to go into what I mean by that, but I'm sure you'll find out soon enough. But yeah. We both had rough times. We started talking about that instead of just Sadie. And then we started talking more and more. [A soft, fond smile.] We got together on Christmas Eve, after seeing what our lives would be like without each other. Read: another fucked up party. And the rest is history, blah blah blah. [A wave of her hand.] And I mean the rest. There's a lot of history with Eddie and I, but I can't imagine my life without him. He's a good man, Dinah. A really good man to me.
