Re: eddie/steph - bathtime.
[She smiled softly against his lips when he leaned in for that kiss, rolling her eyes playfully before tangling her fingers in his hair. Leaving trails of soap mingling with the dark hair and that streak of gray. She stretched a little closer, kissing the side of his temple and that streak in his hair that she loved so much. That was proof that he loved her so much, that he loved her enough to worry himself sick. She rumbled a little bit, then slid closer, nudging his legs open so she could slide between. The intimacy between the two of them was sorely missed, and to have it back felt like a breath of fresh air, felt like she was waking up after a very, very long slumber.

It is. I'm really, really fucking proud of this city and the people in it. [Gotham wasn't the city either of them had grown up in, but she was falling in love with it all over again. To see people working together without any sort of agenda aside from saving each other awoke that sense of hope in the blonde bat that had been snuffed out over the last couple of months. He could see it in her eyes. Sure, Steph was still sad and hurting and guilty, but there was a glimmer in those blues that had been absent for a long time. Her mouth wibbled though ever so slightly, but she didn't look away.] You're amazing at it, baby. You are. But this isn't just what you want. You know it, and I know it. [She cupped his face with both of her hands, thumbs brushing against his cheeks until they were dampened from her skin. She didn't sound sad, not in that all-encompassing way she tended to lately, but she wanted him to admit what he wanted, too. Leaning forward, she kissed the corner of his mouth lightly.]
