Re: eddie/steph - bathtime.
[Eddie didn't give a damn if things weren't fixed yet. He just wanted to know him and Steph were on the same team again and for now? It looked that way. He had told her that he hadn't been happy in months even though he was damn good at hiding it. And, that was true. He was miserable without a direction and coming back from Ra's with Oracle in his spot made things even worse for him. All that mixed with roadblocks with Stephanie dragged him down to a new low he hadn't felt in so, so long.]
[Things felt better now. No, he'd never get his spot back in the bat family, but he was starting to feel like Gotham was opening up new opportunities. Patience was the key.] Okay, I'll get the water running. [Eddie kissed her again and scooped up Lucha on the way to the tub, petting his orange fur as the cat chirped happily.]
[The newly renovated tub was a huge thing large enough for two people to fit comfortably. Eddie had installed it himself for her as a way to wind down after long days of work and therapy and whatever else Gotham threw at them. The bathroom was rustic and warm, a deviation from the modern sleekness it used to have and it felt homey. Eddie set Lucha down and started the water, steadily pouring way more bubble soap in than needed and smiled down at the curious kitten. He liked the pets. God, he wanted kids, but maybe he could just live with pets?]
Are we going to instate bath talk rules? [Eddie called to her from the bathroom.] Free for all? Polite conversation? [He personally didn't mind having rules set up to make them feel comfortable. He wanted to talk about love and life and Ra's and the future and all of that, but he sure as hell could have a pleasant conversation to keep things simple.]
