Inhale deeply, count five seconds, hold your breath for two seconds, and then let it out over another five seconds. Count in your head, it'll focus you. Five in, hold for two, out for five. Your body might not like it at first if it's panicking, but if you take in only shallow breaths, or don't exhale, you can hurt yourself. When you manage it, you'll feel your body calm down, and pressure on your chest lessen.
