Re: Bucky B/Sharon C
Bucky, come on. It should bug Steve, it infuriates me.
I can't speak for him, so you might want to talk to him and get his thoughts on it rather than taking my word for it. [...] But, I think he had hoped that they had built enough rapport between the two of them to work together, they're from the same place, he's done missions with her in the past.
She can be mad at him and you and me or whoever for not telling her about Barton earlier. It's misguided anger, but she still has a right to feel it. But when Steve reaches out to share information and she takes off? It's unacceptable. It would be unacceptable at SHIELD, and its unacceptable here.
Just by way of an update, she checked in with her handler after I told her they were coming after her, didn't say a damn thing to me at all, I could have helped. Instead I found out via memo that she'd checked in when I asked for reports from the Field Officers.
SHIELD is compromised. Entirely. I'm one of the few allies on the inside there. But if she won't accept my help, I can't do anything for her. She and I were long past this where I came from so for me its like dealing with a stranger, and I'm sure it is for her as well. But I can poke at that until the end of time. I don't mind. For Steve? It's different. He knows her.
This isn't just about the team needing to learn how to trust each other, that isn't the fault or blame of any one person. What we are dealing with here and now are her choices. Loki is controlling Barton. That means, essentially, she's disappeared without a trace to possibly take on Loki. Alone. And without bothering to involve the people who found this information, or the team that both she and Barton are on.
It's dangerous and impulsive - which I can forgive. We've all been there at one time or another - some of us more often than not. Including Steve. But it was also stupid and negligent. That is what makes me furious. We all want to help her with this, because it matters to all of us. She matters to all of us.
