Re: Log: Iris & Isaac
[Iris had no idea that the small bits of information she gave away were any sort of interesting to anyone. She barely even realized that she was giving anything away, and if she had, she wouldn't have thought that anyone would be intrigued by her. She thought herself closed off, as inwardly-turned as she could be since Italy and Wonderland. She felt different - but not interesting. Certainly there was nothing 'juicy'.]
I'm not afraid. [She held his gaze, quiet and steady.] To talk to you. [The pause preceding the clarification was maybe a little too long, but again she didn't realize that even that pause might give something away, if someone was looking for things.] I can try. [Maybe she was overly confident (there was a first time for everything), but she felt like entering numbers into the computer and keeping things filed was within the sort of skills she could handle. She could be wrong, maybe she was, but she wouldn't know until she tried.
Plus, she needed the money. She couldn't stay in the shelter forever.]
