Re: Looking for Jack: Evie/Wren/Luke + Jack
[Wren was unaware of Evie's mental machinations, and she was in a really, really bad mood. She felt cornered, and she hated it. Because really, she was cornered. The alternative to all of this was to sit home while Luke got himself infected, because she'd been watching the news; everyone got infected. There was no cure, and they weren't even promising there would be one. They said everyone got sick, absolutely everyone. Which meant Luke was giving himself a one-week death sentence for Jack. Which left her where and with what? Alone, seven-days from now? Healthy, and alone. There wasn't really a choice at all. Not for her, but she felt cornered; she did.
She didn't get into the backseat. She climbed into the passenger's seat, nudging the door out of Luke's grip and slipping past him. Her seatbelt snapped, and she looked forward.]
