Re: log: bruce/jason
[Jason glanced up at Bruce in blank surprise, brow raised, for a half second there. Sure, the offer was appreciated. Of course it was. It dropped away quickly, but he couldn't help it. To be offered a place to stay, that was practically demonstrative in Bruce's book.]
I'm staying with Dick. [The computer chirped, nearing the end of its analysis, and he turned his head.] Thanks, though. [It was half-mumbled, more the sideways thank you of a teenager awkwardly grateful to a parent than anything else. He had tried to stay at the manor, and it had smacked too much of growing up, things that he couldn't get back. Dick's place didn't have the cavernous feeling that the manor did, though that begged the question of how Bruce would do in it on his own with no Alfred around to keep the space from being too vast and empty.]
[He leaned back in his chair a little, still not looking up at him.] Think you're going to be going on another vacation any time soon? [Casual, but the implication was clear enough. Was he back to stay?]
