Re: log: bruce/jason
[Jason had a good guess, since Gwen had gone so far as to point out the source and the possible point of transition, but that, he was pretty sure, was nobody's business. He'd be a pretty good old-fashioned hypocrite if he started mouthing off to Bruce about Selina's sex life.] Guess you'll have to ask her. [The implication was plain. She was going to survive this, and she would come back.]
She'd better, even if somebody has to make her. [And they most likely would. In her position, he'd get out as quickly as he could, ready to go or not. Being dunked cold and terrified into hallucination and madness was enough to make anybody want to run as soon as their legs could carry them, even after coming out into the light of day again.] Not a clue. I haven't said a thing to Banner, he's got an anti-toxin to work on. [Now probably wasn't the time. Though it had been his first instinct to tell the other man immediately, Gwen was right. It could wait.
He watched Bruce and did a decent to middling job of hiding real concern. He knew there was no way Bruce would take the news well, but it had seemed important for him to know. Who else could Jason tell who he could be sure would look out for Selina when she came back? Whatever their ups and downs, nobody ranked higher on the list of people who cared about her than Bruce did, and somebody had better. Lone kitty or not, she was going to need someone if she was going to come back from this mess.
He was thinking about Selina and staring through the computer screen without focusing, so Bruce's remark about how tired he looked went right over his head at first. He looked up, a quick flick, then turned his eyes back to the screen.] Yeah. [Brilliant, Jason. He shook his head.] I've been keeping busy. Who needs sleep, right?
